How to access, export, correct and delete your data · Updated 5 November 2026
Hydrate does not use accounts and stores your data only on your device, so you can manage it yourself at any time without contacting us. The steps below use Android’s standard menus; names may differ slightly between device manufacturers.
Delete all data held by Hydrate
- Open your phone’s Settings and choose Apps.
- Select Hydrate, then Storage.
- Choose Clear storage (or Clear data) and confirm.
This permanently removes your drink log, profile, preferences, paired bottle details and last known bottle location. Uninstalling the app has the same effect. To remove a copy that may exist in your Android device backup, manage your backups in your Google account under Settings › Google › Backup.
Delete or export data in Health Connect or Samsung Health
Records that Hydrate has written to other health services remain there until you remove them:
- Health Connect: open Health Connect (on most devices under Settings › Security and privacy › Privacy › Health Connect), choose App permissions › Hydrate, then Delete Hydrate data. Hydration records can be browsed and exported under Data and access.
- Samsung Health: open Samsung Health and go to Settings › Download personal data to export, or Settings › Delete personal data to remove data.
Withdraw permissions
- Health data: in Health Connect choose App permissions › Hydrate and turn the permissions off; in Samsung Health choose Settings › Data permissions › Hydrate. You can also turn off synchronisation in Hydrate under Settings › Health sync.
- Location, Bluetooth and notifications: in Android choose Settings › Apps › Hydrate › Permissions.
Access and correct your data
Your full drink history is shown under History in the app. Your profile can be corrected under Settings › About you, and your goal under Settings › Goal.
Data the developer holds
The developer holds personal data about you only if you have contacted us, for example by email, or made a donation. To access, correct or delete that data, or to exercise any other right described in the Privacy Policy, write to [email protected]. We respond within one month.
